Drive through the Judean Desert to Masada National Park and ride the cable car up to Herod's palace-fortress — site of the Great Revolt's final stand. After guided ruins and synagogue, descend and continue to the Dead Sea for a famous mineral-rich float. Towels available, bring swimwear.
